A Prayer of Repentance and a Plea for Mercy

This is an urgent call to prayer for New Zealand.

There has been a prophecy that an overwhelming natural disaster will destroy New Zealand and its people, BUT that if God’s people get on their knees in prayer, repent on behalf of the nation and plead for His mercy, He will relent and spare us.

Amos chapter 7 tells of how Amos pleaded for God’s mercy on Jacob when God gave him a vision of a plague of locusts and of devastating fire, and how God relented.

However, God’s judgement of the leaders of the nation (and of the institutional “church”?), those who were in open rebellion against Him, would still happen.

Please join with us in an hour of prayer every week, starting today, Sunday the 25th February 2018 from 5 pm until 6 pm, and continuing every Sunday in March – the 4th, 11th, 18th and 25th for just one hour. Read Amos chapter 7, and post the Scriptures that you find helpful in the comments* box as a help to us.

If these days and times don’t suit your schedule, please join us in prayer at a time that works for you.

If you are able, it would be good if we could fast for each day of prayer as well.

Please comment* on this post to show your participation, as an encouragement to all that God is still active among His people in this nation. Please share this post with all your friends, believers and not-yet-believers. The need is urgent. Hebrews 4:14-16 KJV “Seeing then that we have a great High Priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not a high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling or our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and grace to help in time of need.”
